Hi, I’m Gina Alipio, a gold Wellness Consultant of Nikken. I joined in 2003 but I didn’t do the business until January 2004. We were first introduced to Nikken sometime in 1999, but I guess we didn’t need it then.
My interest in Nikken got kindled in 2004 because my husband, Ernie, was not sleeping well. He’d sleep from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. That meant he was very sleepy during the day and would not be able to work well. This bothered me because he was the only one earning in the family and, if anything happened to him, there would be a problem.
When I decided to sign up with Nikken, I said I had to find a way to afford the products, so I started retailing Nikken in January 2004, with platinum Mei Wong, my then very persistent upline texting me, “Do we have demos? Do we have demos?”
In those days, you could get to silver by making 20,000 points in three months, with a minimum of 5,000 points monthly. I made 8,000 points in March, but in April, I brought in only 2,000 points. So I was back to zero.

Then in May 2004, Nikken Philippines had a promo that offered 200% PV, plus 0% interest on the Citibank card. So I went back to my cousins and friends and told them, “You have to buy now!” And most of them did.
One of them introduced me to someone in the Central Bank. The first time we went to the Central Bank, we did a demo before a big group. A few of them signed up as Nikken Wellness Consultants. One of them called the following day and said that there was a veteran networker who was interested in doing the Nikken business. So we went to meet her and she signed up. From that time on, we were like chicken without heads, running around the Central Bank.
We’d go about 11 a.m. and stay until 5 p.m. It was like we were working there. Our lunch wasn’t until 5 p.m., after everything was done.
That veteran networker, whom I called Julia Roberts because her real name is Julieta Roberto, introduced us to Isagani Perez. She sent Nani to Nikken where we met. The products helped him so much he became one of my more active silvers. |

Because of Julia Roberts, we were able to meet with a lot of small groups in the Central Bank. Definitely, it helped to have an insider there.
During my silver run, I did three 21 Clubs. Easily, among them, it was about 15 Sleep Systems, maybe even more. With 25% off, double the points and zero interest, how could you go wrong? Of course, that was a onetime special promo period.

To sum it up, I did both retail sales and networking. Then I signed up a veteran networker, who was an insider (in the Central Bank). My upline and I did multiple 21 Clubs, and I made full use of the promos. These were my secrets of success.
