I’m an athlete. I was the captain of the UP Women’s Varsity Football Team. I am a certified kickboxing instructor and a swimmer.

  My mom used to bug me to use the Nikken products, but I thought she was a quack doctor when she was telling me they would help me. But, one day, we had a game against the national team players and I wondered if the ankle wraps would help enhance my performance. It was non-invasive and not an illegal substance, so I decided to try the wraps. I was able to last the entire game.

  At one point, there was this national team player running down the side, and the only thing that stood between her and the goal was me. We collided. And we both fell. After 30 seconds, I stood up, but she didn’t. The referee called an injury time-out and they carried her off the field.

mo ba?” I said, “No, no, no, she hit me!” I pulled down my socks and removed my shin guard and the ankle wrap. Right in the middle of my shin was this big bruise! After the game, our coach told me I could have fractured my shin in that collision. I believe the Nikken wrap helped prevent that from happening.

  I became a believer. One day, however, I trained without the wraps and sprained myself. I had a lump the size of a golf ball on my ankle. Normally, such an injury would have sidelined me for three weeks. We were in the middle of time trials and I didn’t want to miss that. So I asked my mom what Nikken products could I put on my foot. She lent me the Kenko card magnet and the mini. I put them on top of the swollen area and, after three days, I could already walk. After a week, I was back to running! And I was able to maintain my pace during the time trials.

  Overall, Nikken has not only helped me with my injuries — it

has helped improve my performance as an athlete. After I got on all the Nikken products, I noticed that my recovery time has improved. As for my performance, in terms of being able to last the game, I could last the full 90 minutes and keep running at the same speed from the beginning to the end.

  After a few years, I became the captain of the UP Women’s Football Varsity Team and was later invited to try out for the National Women’s Futsal Team. While I was taking my masters at the University of Birmingham in the UK, I also joined the university’s women’s athletic union football team. I was the only Filipino in the university to play with them at that time.

  Apart from helping me as an athlete, Nikken has become a lifestyle for me. And I can now live life to the fullest because of my health.

  I’m a businessman, selling reconditioned trucks and buses from Japan. In my work, I traveled a lot and I ate out a lot. One of the effects of eating too much was that I grew big.

  Last year, at age 36, I suffered a major heart attack — not just a mild one but a major heart attack that put me in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for eight days.

  I got out of the hospital without any damage outwardly. I was not paralyzed, my speech was not slurred, my vision was OK. But I had a lot of don’ts and that depressed me.

  I faced the prospect of being an inactive and inutile 30-something guy who couldn’t even lift a half pail of water and couldn’t go up the stairs. I was not allowed to have sex in the early days. Over the longer term, I was not allowed to drive and not allowed to play basketball, which I love very much, because I might have another heart attack. I was warned that the next time, it could be fatal or very damaging.

  I felt really down because I used to be very active. I traveled around the Philippines, up north and down south. Suddenly, my mobility was limited.

  In February 2004, my friend Albert Padlan, who was invited by Mei Wong, asked me to join him at a Nikken Wellness Preview, and I did. I was impressed by the products, but part of me remained skeptical.

  Some days later, I decided to clean the aircon. I told my son that it was almost summer so we had better clean the aircon. It was a 3/4 horsepower aircon and heavy. The two of us lifted it and carried it 30 meters out of the house to the driveway where we could clean it.

My wife Donna asked me, “Hey, what are you doing?”

I replied, “I’m cleaning the aircon.”

“You’re not supposed to carry that!” she told me.

“Well, it’s clean so we might as well put it back,” I said. So my son and I did that, and I felt no ill effects from my exertions.

  Gradually my doctor reduced my medication. I used to take 10 tablets a day, worth about P1,000 day. Now I spend only P1.50 for aspilet, my maintenance. You can imagine how much money I saved in the past year!

  Then I asked my doctor if I could play basketball. He said, “Go back to your old self.” Then I asked him, “Can I drive to Baguio?” He answered, “As long as you feel you can do it, do it.” I drove to Baguio. I’ve been to Tuguegarao. I’ve been driving all over Luzon.

  Now I am my active self again, thanks to the Magstep, the Sleep System and the Optimizer.

  Sometimes it feels like something’s happening inside my chest and my heart starts to pound real hard. Whenever I get that sensation, I drink Optimized water. That stabilizes me, brings down my nervousness and slows my palpitations. The pounding stops. My blood pressure normalizes. And I’m OK.
